New Bed Partner for a Night

Adam had a quick work/play trip to St.George, so the boys and I were home alone for a night. Of course when bedtime came Noah wanted his crib and his space. Mack on the other hand wanted to sleep with me. Seriously the boy was in heaven. He loved it! He slept in which was a first and when he woke he insisted on laying in bed and watching a show. He snuggles in and close as he can. The kid is my little cuddle bug!

Handyman Saturday

With my birthday soon around the corner Adam asked me what I wanted.  I thought about it and a list of little projects that I have wanted done came to mind.  Two years ago Adam and his friend Tyler hung 9 photos in our bedroom art gallery style.  I love my wall of pics and seriously could stare at it for hours on end.  Well I redid the photo arrangement in our family room and had three frames the same style as my art gallery not being used.  I instantly knew they needed to be added to my wall.  On Saturday Adam and Tyler did just that and I love it.  I feel so lucky to have a giant wall to hang my photos on.  I am one blessed girl in every way.  The other item that came to mind is putting a hanging rack in the laundry room to dry clothes.  When we bought the home we knew that we wanted to add that feature and that the space was there to do so.  However life got busy, time passed, and here we are 4 years later putting up the rack.  While we were at it I decided the Harley art work needed a new home, so the laundry room became that place.  I love it and can't wait to hang clothes to dry and work in the space.  Oh we also just got a new washer. Our old one started to retain water and stink of mold.  Also I can already tell just with doing a few loads that our new one works circles around the old.  Clean, stain free clothes are the best.  The last project was to hang two mirrors in Noah's room that I picked up at IKEA.  Well the mirrors broke in the process of trying to hang them.  They were poor quality.  Luckily I had the receipt and was able to return them.  Now I am on the search to final some different ones. This Saturday was handyman day and it was awesome.

Bobby Hamilton

A lot has happened in our world lately.  On September 16th Adam was on his way to work when he got a phone call from the West Jordan Police telling him that his brother Bobby had passed away.  Adam immediately drove to his house and knelt down by his side.  He said that sadness and emotion rushed over him.  He worried about him and wanted so badly to wake him up and make it better.  From there the events of planning and putting on a funeral took place.  Bobby was buried in the Utah Veterans Cemetery located in Bluffdale on Friday, September 20th.  His funeral service took place at Perry Farms LDS Chapel.  All his brothers, Aaron, Andrew and Adam spoke.  Mack gave the opening prayer, I gave the closing prayer, and my mom Jolene gave the family prayer.  He was dressed in a turquoises blue shirt, tie, black slacks, and a black hat.  He looked good, however he was cleaned shaved which in life Bobby never was.  It was a week of non stop, emotions and tears. I created a video and I spent hours nonstop putting it together.  I kept hoping it was what he would like.  As I arranged the photos I kept wanting to reach in the screen and give him a hug and tell him that I love him.  I know that I will see him again and that families are forever.  I know that he is in a better place that he can find peace, joy and love.  I know that life was not easy and that he had a constant fight to find his place.  I know that can now be free and become the man he can.  The day after the funeral Noah woke up in the middle of the night, so the two of us walked around the house admiring all the beautiful flower arrangements from the funeral.  I stared in shock at the arrangements to think that what took place really did happen. As I studied the flowers a line from Adam's talk came to mind. He shared a quote from Elder Russell Nelson, "As seedlings of God, we barely blossom on earth; we fully flower in heaven." I can't wait to see Bobby blossom.
