I can't believe how alert and wide eyed my little Mack is. This picture is him at 3 weeks old. He opens those big eyes and studies everything around him for hours. He loves looking around and already has established that bedtime is not his favorite time of day. He fights sleeping for about 30 minutes each night before he will let himself relax and dose off. He is so funny how he puts all his energy in staying awake. It's like he is afraid that he is going to miss something. His eyes get red and heavy yet he forces them wide open every few minutes till he finally can't do it any longer. I just cradle him in my arms and sing to him and tell him stories as he drifts off to sleep.
