Way to go Dad!!!

So for all of you who don't know my Dad is a cowboy. He is truly one the last cowboys. I say this because there is a lot of impostors out their that just roll into to Reams and by the Wranglers and hat. Or the hip crowd that bounce into the Buckle and get the designer cowboy cut jeans. Not my dad he is a true Cowboy. He can take any wild horse and train it to race. He has been doing this all my life so I just grew to think that it was something common or easy. I have learned with age that he has the talent and skills to train horses that is hard to come by. He is fearless and dedicated to his horses. A horse can buck a jockey off and my dad will jump on that horse and ride them till they they are tame. He will push them to speeds that most men are scared of. By pushing the limits and not giving up this weekend paid off. My dad raced in the Elko Derby Finals this Labor day and won. Yep he rolled into into town as the underdog two weeks ago and is leaving town as the winner. I am so proud him and his horse Strike Twice for pulling out the win. Way to go Dad!

Your dad is the toughest guy that I know. I remember him helping my dad one time with his truck, John and I were there and he literally got up on the truck and started rocking it up and down, I can't quite remember why. My mom called today and was so excited about the race, my dad was so excited and he was calling all over the place talking about it. There was some other friend they have that won a big race today as well.

Your little guy is so cute, I love the pictures. Are you going to Ferron for Peach Days???

Hey....when you get a minute, I would love to hear where you are moving to. Hopefully it is closer to Salt Lake. That would be fun. We need to get together soon. I want to see that baby. I saw his pictures on Laura's blog. He is such a beautiful baby boy.
