Mom- "Hey do you want to go on a family vacation for a week"
Cam- "Sure I am in, I need a getaway. What are we thinking Vegas, Hawaii, maybe a cruise? My friend Candace just went on a cruise with her family and loved it. Oh we could go to Disney Land and take turns riding the rides and holding mack."
Mom- "Most families go to Disney Land but I was thinking that we should go to Ely and Elko, Nevada for the horses races. We could hang out in the hotel and make sure the horses get fed"
Cam- "Really?"
Mom- "Yeah and we would leave next week"
Cam- "So we would race in Ely one weekend, drive to Elko, hangout in the hotel for the week and then race the horses again on the weekend?"
Mom- "Yep are you in"
Cam- "What do you do in Elko for a week waiting to race the horses?"
Mom- "Hangout on the lawn with Frosty and eat the $3.99 Gamblers Special for breakfast"
Cam-"Sure why not, Disney Land is overrated anyway"
It was the best week and the best vacation! I loved every minute of it. It just goes to show that hanging out with my family makes any place fun. Even the night that we decided to play Trivial Pursuit and 2 minutes into it sparks started to fly and the game was canceled before World War Three started. Oh it's good we know when to quit. Thanks mom for inviting us. It was a week of creating memories on the random lawn strips with Frosty, bunking up in two joining rooms with random noises, hoof pounding races (which I horse ran in the lead twice), golfing in the weeds, shopping for clothes on the Ely strip, and laughing so hard tears roll down our faces. It was a perfect vacation!
