Love Is In The Air

I guess I am in a mushy mood but I have a reason why.  It's a couple days after Valentines Day so here I go.... This year Adam and I have a new love that we could have never imagined until he came.  That is my little man Mack.  We can talk for hours and hours not get bored.  We talk about how cute, amazing and incredible he is.  We both love parenthood.  I am so, so glad that I am his mom and that I have the opportunity and responsibility of being his mom.  I was told in a blessing that the greatest joy in my life would be being a parent.  I understand it now and it is so true.  I love him so much that words don't even come close to explain my feelings for him.  Here is a list of some of the loves.

I love how when I walk in the room his face lights up.
I love how when I pick him up from his crib he snuggles into me and cuddles.
I love how in the mornings after I get him up we go back to bed for a bit longer then all the sudden I feel this tender stroke on my face.  I open my eyes to see him looking straight at me.
I love his soft little voice and that the first word he said was "Mamma".
I love how when he jumps he smiles so proud cause he is doing such big things in his jumperoo (nickname the babysitter).
I love how when I say the word bath his faces lights up and he holds still with a huge, huge grin cause he knows he is going to get to play in the water.
I love how he is so alert and does not miss a thing.
I love how he tires to crawl forward and instead crawl backwards and is so focused on figuring it out.
I love how he is starting to get use to the car seat and won't cry as long as he used to when I put him in it.
I love how happy he gets when I hand him the phone and he can hear the voices of family members as they talk to him.
I love how when he gets a package in the mail and I show him it he instantly knows it's his and dives towards it so excited.
I love the faces he pulls when I feed him.  Even though he should be loving food and needs to start eating more I still love those disgusted faces each time he taste something other than breast milk or water.  My friend Chan said to enjoy it cause it won't last for long.  Well not with Mack he has been pulling those faces three times a day for over 3 months.
I love to watch him sleep and how precious and peacefully he is.
I love how we both and stare at a mirror and pull faces at each other for over and hour at time.  He loves to smile at himself.
I love to dance around the room with him in my arms.  Then when I stop moving I love how he starts shaking his little body letting me know he wants to keep dancing.
I love how when you think he is just about to sleep he all the sudden becomes fully awake and full of energy.  He starts bouncing up and down as you hold him.
I love how with my training of the 1/2 marathon he loves the jogger till I start to walk.  Once I slow down he starts to cry and I pick back up the pace.  He is a big support on keeping me running in those times when I want to stop and walk.
I love his red hair and how much positive attention he gets cause of it.  I want him to know that red heads are special and that he lucky to be one of the few with that hair color in this world.
I love how he when I have a drink he dives to get to it and then takes a big gulp and spits most of it back in the cup or down his cheeks.
I love how he smiles so big at me as I dance crazy around the room.  It's like he thinks I dance like the best of the best, which is so not true.
I love his high pith squeals he makes as he listens to music.  He is singing along and enjoying the tune.
I could go on and on cause I love, love, love My Baby Mack.

Here are some pictures of our Valentine Weekend.

Valentine Morning Mack and his Monkey from his Grandma Suzie (Ms. Martha)
Adam eating his Valentine Dinner cooked by me
Mack reading his Valentine book from Grandma Jo & Grandpa Larry
Mack and Me celebrating cause Adam got me "This is It" DVD and a Michael Jackson T-Shirt that I have on.  It's been four days since I got it and Mack and I have watched it over 8 times.  I am a bit embarrassed to admit but it's just so good.  Also Mack likes it better than Einstein, which means it is amazing!!!
Saturday Day night we went to dinner with Dave, Charmin and Baby Phoenix

It's so funny how fulfilling the simple things are! So fun that you've written them down - I need to! I have a sweet spot for those red heads too - Alexis looks like she'll be making it two for two!
