Work Hard, Play Hard!
This past weekend Adam's company took us and about 12 other couples to San Diego. It was such a fun trip. We stayed at the historic "Hotel Del Coronado" and it was an amazing. The hotel accommodations were great. We stayed in the historic main building and it was supposedly haunted. I loved the detail of the architect. No single room had the same size windows. It was ocean side property with a great pool and a boardwalk to run on. Just typing this makes me want to go back. During the trip Adam and I both played hard. Adam was able to go golfing on two different courses (Torrey Pines and Coronado Municipal). I did my first road biking excursion. I biked 35 miles on along the coast. I also ran 10 miles, and was able to do some semi serious shopping. We both went sky diving, swimming and experienced the nightlife at the Gas Light District.
Mack was on his own vacation back home in Utah with his Grandma Jolene. This was big moved to spend 4 nights away from my baby, but it was a nice vacation for all of us. My mom took him to a wedding, visited an old neighbor (MaryAnn and Steve Jensen), McDonalds, Sizzler, Grandma Nielson’s house, Uncle Brad’s house. He also learned how to push a cart at the Nordstrom Rack. It’s the funniest and cutest thing ever. He grabs on to the bottom of the cart and pushes it. Forget the baby walkers my little guy can push the big carts. He had a great time playing with his grandma.
