There is nothing better than to end the summer with a full day of fun taking in all the celebrations that Peach Days has to offer. Adam said it best, "I have never done so much stuff in Ferron, and then to top it off I did it all in one day!" We started out the morning at 6:30 a.m. with the "Fun Run". Adam, Mack, Mike, Jolene (mom), Stacy and I all woke up and participated. My dad woke up also but he had to work to do getting his horses ready to race. After the run we went to the parade and Mack loved every minute of it. A future congressman stopped just to give Mack and candy and tell us how cute he is. In fact we got more candy than ever before because of Mack. My Mom does not need to buy Halloween candy to give out cause we got so much from the parade. After the parade Adam and Mike were in a golf tournament with some good friends Jason and Derek. While they were golfing Mack, My Mom and Stacy went to the park/fun day. Mack loved having his aunt Stacy follow him around. There were also a bunch of Kittens there for sale and he smiled so big when he got to hold one. Mack is my little animal lover. Once we finished there we rushed to the horses races to cheer for Winn Stables. My dad did great with taking first and second place. He also was called on the spot to give a speech about his good friend Kenny McGill. Kenny and Dad had been friends for years and will continue being friends. Kenny is suffering from sugar diabetes and needs a new kidney. My dad talked about how great of a friend he is. My whole family just loves Kenny and we consider him one of us.
The day was going great and the races were getting close to an end when all the fun came to a stop. Mack was walking around behind the bleachers with My Mom and Stacy when he slipped and smacked his eye on a pole. I was just visiting and chatting away when Stacy approached me with a panic look and said we needed to leave. I immediately asked if Mack feel asleep and he quietly said that he got hurt. Well I jumped out of my seat and ran to him. My mom said he did not start to cry until he saw me. I wrapped him in my arms and all rushed to the car, drove away, and sped home. Adam saw us pulling away in the car and thought it was odd that my mom was driving with Mike in the front seat. After we got home and cleaned up the cut I felt better cause it was not as bad as I thought and Mack was happy and acting fine. Meanwhile we all have our phones were turned off or away from us and Adam is calling like crazy. He got to where we were seated and heard that Mack got hurt. He thought that we might be on our way to the hospital. Oh it was crazy but the good news is that we all had a great time and our little Mack came home with a souvenir. I figure he is a boy and he is going to get a little bruised and banged up, it’s just part of being a little boy!
